1. Information we collect
We collect three kinds of information: what you submit to us directly, what the compliance checker records, and analytics about how the site is used.
- Information you provide. Your email address when you subscribe to the newsletter. The company details, contact details, and brief you enter when you post an RFP or apply to list your firm. Anything you include in an email to us.
- Compliance checker answers. When you use the checker, your answers and the resulting matches are stored in our database (the
checker_responsestable) against a random session identifier generated in your browser. No name or email is attached unless you provide one, for example by buying a report. - Analytics. Page views and product events across the site, collected through PostHog.
2. How we use it
- To send the newsletter, if you subscribed
- To return your compliance checker results and, where you have paid for one, to prepare your report
- To route RFP briefs and listing applications to the right place internally
- To understand which pages and tools people use, so we can improve them
- To answer your questions when you contact us
3. Analytics
We use PostHog for product analytics across the whole site. It records page views and product events such as which tools are opened and which results are viewed, along with technical data like browser type and approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it. Browser extensions that block analytics scripts prevent this collection.
4. Email newsletter
Newsletter subscriptions are handled by Loops, our email delivery provider, which stores your email address on our behalf so we can send you issues. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. We do not sell or rent email addresses.
5. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser storage that are required for the site to work, including your theme preference, and analytics cookies set by PostHog. We do not use advertising cookies.
6. Data retention
Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Compliance checker responses and RFP submissions are kept while they are useful for support and for improving the tools. Analytics data is retained for 12 months. We delete data on request.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise those rights, write to privacy@regulome.io. If you want your checker responses deleted, include the session identifier shown with your results, or describe when you used the tool and we will find it.
8. Not legal advice
The content on this website, including regulation guides, the compliance checker, and glossary entries, is for information only and is not legal advice. Consult a qualified attorney before making compliance decisions.
